Job Description :

Job Purpose

The Mental Health Technician provides direct support to patients receiving psychiatric or behavioral health care, working under the supervision of nursing and clinical staff.

Monitors patient safety and behavior, assists with activities of daily living and helps implement individualized treatment plans.

Job Requirements:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Licenses and/or Certifications:

  • Requires - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, American Heart Association
  • Satori Alternatives to Managing Aggression (SAMA) certification within first week of hire

Work Experience:

  • Requires - 2 years’ experience in mental health related field with direct patient care responsibilities
