The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors Norwell, MA is looking for a Sales Intern to join our Summer 2027 Industrial Services Internship Program at our corporate headquarters. This role will be supporting HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, this internship will provide hands-on exposure to sales, customer engagement, and market development within our environmental and industrial services.

Start Date:

Start dates for our Summer 2027 Internship Program are May 17th or May 24th, 2027. Internships will run through the summer and end in August.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Shadow sales team members to understand customer engagement strategies and learn the environmental and industrial services sales process;
  • Participate in internal sales meetings, pipeline reviews, and customer discussions;
  • Learn about Clean Harbors as well as HPC Industrial services powered by Clean Harbors, capabilities, customers, and market opportunities;
  • Analyze customer interactions to identify trends and opportunities;
  • Conduct market research to identify underserved or emerging customer segments;
  • Develop a strategic sales plan targeting an identified market opportunity;
  • Execute outreach through email, phone, and in-person meetings;
  • Track and report outreach activity, responses, and conversion progress;
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and technical teams;
  • Prepare regular updates and insights for internal stakeholders;
  • Participate in Clean Harbors Internship Program networking and professional development activities, our learning passport and other internship activities;
  • Develop and deliver a final project presentation summarizing findings, strategy, and results;
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

What does it take to intern with Clean Harbors?

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Sales or Business from an accredited college or university;
  • Strong interest in learning about the environmental and industrial services industry;
  • Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information;
  • Ability to work in a collaborative professional team environment;
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or other relevant technical tools.
