Must be able to perform product diagnostics to determine the root cause of failures. Will need to have experience in troubleshooting various electrical boards and components. This role requires the ability to recommend corrective actions in collaboration with manufacturing engineering, production, and quality teams. The successful candidate will have strong hands-on technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Essential Duties:

  • Assemble and test various power supplies used in the manufacture of X-ray sources.

  • Perform root-cause analysis of power supply failures from the power supply manufacturing area.

  • Identify defective components, wiring errors, workmanship issues and other nonconformances.

  • Assist and support production operators with troubleshooting and diagnostic testing.

  • Provide technical troubleshooting assistance to the production supervisor and maintenance team.

  • Document test procedures and results to identify systemic issues in products and equipment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and reduction of manufacturing defects.

  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment as needed.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience soldering and reworking through-hole and surface-mount electronic components (IPC certification preferred)

  • Basic knowledge of electronic principles including analog circuits, resistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes

  • Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level rather than simply replacing boards or modules

  • Ability to follow written assembly, test, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures

Education and Experience:

  • Technical certificate or associate's degree in electronics, or related field preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering support role required

  • Green belt certified preferred

  • Experience performing failure and root cause analysis of assemblies

  • Familiarity with X-ray systems, power supply manufacturing, or radiation safety preferred

  • Experience in using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools

  • Self-driven with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Excellent English verbal communication and documentation skills
