Park Nicollet is looking to hire an LPN, Medical Assistant or EMT to join our Melrose Center Team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Provides practical nursing care to patients in accordance with the Minnesota Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and PNHS policy.
Provides safe and effective nursing care by promoting a safe, therapeutic environment and by advocating for the best interests of individual patients.
Supports multiple areas within a clinic setting with strong interpersonal skill and flexibility while maintaining patient confidentiality and protecting patient rights.
Work Schedule:
Monday 7am-530pm Tuesday 7am-530pm Wednesday 7am-330pm
Required Qualifications:
We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.
*Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable. *
Preferred Qualifications:
- One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and PNHS.
- Basic computer/keyboarding skills required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.
