This position will be on-site work for candidates who reside in the Des Moines Metro area.

Essential Functions

  • Paid internship working in Digital Workplace Experience at EMC

  • Learns EMC and departmental culture, structure, and functions across branches

  • Images, installs, and maintains PCs, laptops, and other hardware

  • Maintains asset management by checking in new equipment and decommissioning end of life assets

  • Collaborates with team to oversee day-to-day systems.  IE:  Jira ticketing, M365, Tanium, Windows and Mac OS

  • Collaborates with team to manage endpoint technologies, including patching, security, software deployment, backups, and device management.

  • Assists with automation and process improvement initiatives through scripting, reporting, and workflow documentation.

  • Troubleshoots and problem solves common issues on endpoints

  • Coordinates shipping and receiving of team member equipment

Education & Experience:

  • Management Information Systems (MIS), computer science, or major in technical field

  • Completion of sophomore year preferred

  • Interest in Information Technology career

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving

  • Attention to detail

  • Good computer skills

  • Interest in technology automation and process improvement

  • Familiarity with scripting or programming concepts (PowerShell, Python, or similar) preferred

  • Ability to learn new technologies and apply them in practical business situations
