Production Control Purchasing Coordinator – 1st Shift

Pay: $17.00/hour to start Schedule: 1st Shift Pay Schedule: Weekly Pay

Job Summary

We are hiring an Entry-Level Production Control Purchasing Coordinator to support purchasing, inventory, and production operations in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for ordering and tracking materials, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and helping ensure production has the materials needed to stay on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders for assigned parts, components, raw materials, and production supplies.
• Monitor purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time.
• Maintain inventory levels within established company guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and identify potential shortages or excess materials.
• Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available when needed.
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to reduce premium shipping expenses.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and help identify root causes.
• Assist with corrective actions related to inventory and material issues.
• Support new product and manufacturing program launches.
• Monitor product and program phase-outs to help minimize obsolete inventory.
• Research potential uses for obsolete parts and materials.
• Complete purchasing, inventory, and production control documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, materials, production control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with computers and Microsoft Office.
