Job Description

Under general supervision, develop, implement and supervise activities which promote the healthy emotional, social, cognitive, sensory, physical and language development of each child and assess the progress of the child in each domain. Provides a safe, healthy and educational environment for preschool children while delivering dependable and quality care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of early childhood development stages.
  • The ability to develop educational plans and activities using effective instructional techniques that will provide for the social, intellectual, emotional, and physical growth needs of the children.
  • Ability to assess each child as an individual and at a variety of levels – social, educational, etc.and determine the need for new behavioral approaches.

Preferred Qualification

  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
  • Experience working in a university lab school setting.

This position requires a passing background check under Human Services Background Studies Act - MN Statutes 245C. It is expected that the employee maintains the ability to pass applicable background check throughout employment.
