Grays Harbor Health and Rehab in Aberdeen is seeking a detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our amazing team!
The laundry aide serves residents by providing clean laundry in accordance with all laws, regulations, and company standards.
$17.80 - $18.16 /hr
Part time - 5:30 am - 1:00 pm
3 on 3 off rotation

Minimum pay - $17.80. Maximum pay - $18.16.
Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

Perform all functions of linen services to include collection, sorting, washing and drying of linen.

Count, sort and distribute daily clean linen.

Wash personal clothing of residents who request this service.

Handle linen services for other facility departments as required. Maintain the laundry room in a clean and orderly manner.

Use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) while handling linen and chemicals.

Must be able to work in a non-regulated temperature environment.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-
Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
-
Prior housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting preferred.

Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality.

Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability.

Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision.

Must demonstrate effective communication skills.

Must follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants and solutions used in the work area.

Must avoid energy waste (i.e., unnecessary lights).

Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
