Overview
Our team is looking for a Teradata Developer.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Applying data sourcing, data analysis and modeling skills with the ability to build innovative data provisioning models to support large scale financial crimes data sourcing initiatives. Developing complex requirements, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in Financial Crimes technology to accomplish business goals. Designing, developing, testing and documenting programs as well as providing support activities for maintaining the application. Defining requirements for system applications. Applying in-depth knowledge of business requirements, business environments, and technological alternatives to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Providing insight and direction from a data perspective, assessing the impact on technology systems and participation in the full development lifecycle of the capability being delivered. Contributing to story refinement/defining requirements. Estimating the work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performing proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Setting up and automating continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Working closely with Production Support teams, Platform teams and Business Partners, to handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, Platform Upgrades, and Changes to requirements from both upstream and downstream interfacing applications. Promoting and applying best practices and standards at a project, program level. Analyzing present-state, developing alternative future-state approaches and facilitating implementation. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables and timelines. Telecommuting permitted.
Qualifications
MS Computer Science, Information Systems or closely related. 24 mon. exp in any IT position related to Teradata. 24 mon. in: Teradata Database; Teradata SQL Assistant; UNIX Shell Scripting; Teradata Utilities; ETL tools; Teradata Viewpoint; NetVault; Security/User Administration; Performance Tuning; Query Optimization; Workload Management (TASM/TDWM); BAR (backup, archive, restore). Work may occur from anywhere within the U.S. 40 hrs/wk.
