The Casino Operations Manager provides leadership and oversees the Casino activities relating to Table Games.
Responsibilities
-
Develops, implements and monitors progress of short and long-term goals for the Table Games department.

Coordinates activities of Table Games with other departments to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Directs, coordinates and analyzes products, services and operations to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency by continually updating game mix.

Analyzes department budgets requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.

Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and mix reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.

Promote organization in industry, manufacturing or trade associations.

Is responsible for developing and executing annual business plans and budgets for the Table Games department.

Maintains monthly budget, justifying unusual variances while providing monthly status report.

Trains, counsels and coaches assigned personnel to the performance of their duties; prepares and presents Performance Appraisal Reviews.

Ensures compliance with tribal, state and company requirements.

Maintains professional skills by staying abreast of current technical developments and participation in developmental programs available within and outside the company.

Responsible for monitoring legal compliance with federal, state and gaming laws.

Is responsible for all aspects of promotions and/or special projects relating to department personnel.

Is responsible for resolving both guest and employee conflict situations in a way that is consistent with Harrah’s Company Policies and State Gaming Compact.

Develop implements and coordinates short and long-range objectives including marketing promotions, gaming-related events and tournaments to increase Harrah’s share of the high-quality gaming customer market.

Develops customer development culture throughout the casino through strategic efforts and teamwork.

Maintains and submits required records and reports and maintains the confidential nature of matters pertaining to company records.

Maintains security of all games, monies and personnel.
-
Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with at least 3 years of progressive gaming operations experience.

Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
-
Skill in reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
-
Skill in responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

Skill with mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity; analysis of variance; correlation techniques; sampling theory and factor analysis.

Skill in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions.

Must be willing to approach and converse with strangers.

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items.

Must be able to walk and be on foot for long periods of time.
