  • Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do (Position Summary)

This is a paid Summer Internship Program (early June to early August). As an intern with our Intervention Services Engineering group, you’ll gain experience by participating in tasks including but not limited to:

  • Performing equipment sizing calculations for project and/or equipment specific hydraulic applications

  • Development of project specific document and drawing packages

  • Project planning meetings with engineering groups both internal and external to Oceaneering

  • On-site visits for verification of equipment readiness

  • Review of drawings and procedures pertaining to well intervention equipment design, functionality, and adherence to applicable industry standards

Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks and/or AutoCad
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • No relocation or housing assistance is being offered

DESIRED

  • Exposure to physical tools as used for home improvement, wood working, automotive related and similar, programming whether as part of coursework or as a hobby

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night

  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place

  • Work surface is stable (flat)
