Job Description:
We are seeking a SW Test Engineer to support the design, verification, characterization, and integration of automated RF test systems and subsystems (ATS). The ideal candidate will have basic hands-on experience with designing, integrating and release of test SW systems utilizing RF measurements, automated test solutions, and working in cross-functional engineering environments. This role will contribute to the validation of RF hardware across development, qualification, and manufacturing phases.**
Essential Functions:
**- Design automated test SW to be used in production testing with multi-unit capabilities, automated fault detection and test reporting.

Develop automated test solutions using LabVIEW and Test Stand

Develop, execute, and document SW test plans, setup procedures, and reports for production SW.

Support design verification and validation testing as required
-
Analyze test data and provide clear technical conclusions and recommendations to design teams

Collaborate with RF design, systems, manufacturing, quality, and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Create and maintain test documentation, SW requirements, and configuration-controlled records.

Assist in transitioning test methods from development into manufacturing or production environments.

Familiarity with Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Manufacturing (DfM).

Ability to obtain a security clearance**
Qualifications:
**- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SW programming, automated test, SW integration, or related engineering roles.**
Preferred Additional Skills:
**- Experience with Python and C++.

Proficiency in Labview and Test Stand programming environments

Familiarity with Linux, VHDL, and general development board platforms like ZYNQs, Zed Boards, Arty Boards, etc…

Experience with wireless communications, telemetry, SATCOM, or aerospace/defense RF systems.

Familiarity with digital modulation analysis and communications measurements like BPSK, QPSK.
-
Experience supporting design-to-production transitions.
-
Experience generating and deriving system requirements from product specifications, RVTMs, VCRMs, and Validation Plans.
-
Understanding of digital communications, bandwidth, throughput, and bit error rate.

Experience with Encryption systems and architecture.
-
Active security clearance
-
Experience with test automation and data analysis tools.
-
Experience with digital logic, differential communication protocols.

Basic understanding of RF principles, including:
-
S-parameters (Gain/Loss/VSWR/Return Loss)

Basic understanding of schematics, block diagrams, interface control documents, and test requirements.

Ability to troubleshoot and root-cause hardware and measurement issues.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $80.5k -$149.5k. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
