<p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p class="ql-align-justify">The Small Engine Repair Associate is responsible for the overall operation and success of the small engine/ lawnmower repair department. </p><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul small engines used in lawnmowers, chainsaws, and related equipment</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Able to drive ¾ ton truck and 16’ trailer on a regular basis</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Pick up and drop off of customers equipment in a neat and professional manner</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Work within company programs, policies and procedures</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Promote and support established programs</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Communicate with and receive product from approved vendors</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Operate a forklift</li><li>Follows safety policies and procedures; is a safety role model</li><li>Other duties assigned</li><li class="ql-align-justify"><span style="color: black;">During slow or off-season technician will be asked to work in one of our ACE Hardware retail locations. This would be temporary if at all and determined by work load</span></li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>KEY ATTRIBUTES </strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Small engine and riding mower repair knowledge</li><li class="ql-align-justify">New mower setup/PDI and warranty repair knowledge</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Computer knowledge, with focus on online parts lookup and warranty submission </li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ability to communicate well with manufacturer technical support helplines</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Problem solving skills</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Passion for what they do</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Self-motivated</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ability to prioritize and multi-task</li><li EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED);</li><li>One to three months related experience and/or training;</li><li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li></ul><p class="ql-align-justify"><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p><ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. </li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ability to write warranty claims and service tickets. </li><li class="ql-align-justify">Ability to
