About us

Highpoint Health- Sumner has been providing quality health care to Middle TN for 65 years. Since opening in 1959, we have grown from one facility with just 50 employees and 7 physicians to a comprehensive health care leader in the community with more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians. Today, we operate as a 167-bed healthcare facility and provide quality care in numerous areas of health care.

How you'll contribute

As a Patient Care Technician joining our team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This includes:

• Assisting patients with performing activities of daily living
• Providing or assisting with providing direct patient care
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities
• Reporting any changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to treatment plans
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• State of TN CNA license *preferred, *can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS)* required* within 30 days of hire
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred

Our Wound Care team is dedicated to providing specialized, patient-centered care focused on the assessment, treatment, and healing of acute and chronic wounds. Our nurses, providers, and multidisciplinary care team work collaboratively to develop individualized treatment plans, utilizing advanced wound care techniques and evidence-based practices to promote healing and improve quality of life for our patients.
