Summary of Job Duties:

Assists with receiving and processing mail, including journals, magazines, and newspapers; updates the holding records in the ILS; provides customer service; maintains computer records; monitors subscription schedules and contacts vendors or publishers to request missing/damaged/delayed issues; prepares completed volumes of print periodicals for commercial binding or routes them for preservation/repair; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School or equivalent; familiarity with MS Office, word processing, spreadsheets, attention to detail, willingness to learn in a changing environment.

Additional Information:

Ability to interpret and apply library policies; ability to stand for periods of time, lift up to 20 pounds, move book carts, stoop, bend, and reach. Occasional evening and weekend work.
