The role offers exposure to a broad range of fixed‑income products, operational processes, and regulatory frameworks while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and supporting senior management as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process front‑to‑back trade flow, including trade breaks, allocations, and settlement discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with traders, sales, and counterparties to verify trade details and resolve issues promptly.
  • Monitor daily activity across domestic and international fixed‑income markets, including ADR conversions and DMA transactions.
  • Assist with settlement processing for DTC/NSCC and coordinate with clearing teams on FX and preferred securities trades.
  • Analyze corporate actions and assess their impact on portfolio positions and reporting.
  • Support operational aspects of ADR conversions, preferred securities, and DMA initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process‑efficiency improvements within the middle‑office workflow.
  • Prepare ad‑hoc reports and analytics for trading desks and senior leadership.
  • Stay current on industry regulations (SEC, FINRA, EMIR) and internal policy changes.
  • Provide general business support to the Financial Institutions Strategy Team as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience in middle‑office, trade support, or operations within fixed‑income markets (internships acceptable).
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and corporate actions.
  • Familiarity with DTC, NSCC, ADR, DMA, and FX transaction mechanics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Bloomberg and trade‑capture systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with traders, sales, and clearing partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA, EMIR).
  • Demonstrated teamwork and a proactive attitude toward continuous learning.
