About the job

At Apple, we create experiences that help people do more with technology. The Ads & Business Design team brings that same care to the tools businesses use to connect with customers across Apple.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape Apple Ads. You’ll make sophisticated advertising workflows feel clear and approachable, from creating campaigns and managing creative to understanding performance and deciding what to do next. You’ll work on experiences used by businesses of different sizes, helping them grow while giving them confidence and control.

Our team is also exploring how intelligence can make these tools more useful: turning insight into action, simplifying complex work, and helping advertisers make informed decisions. We’re looking for someone who can deliver excellent product experiences today and help us explore what comes next.

As a Product Designer on the Ads team, you’ll own meaningful parts of the advertiser experience from early exploration through launch and refinement. You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, content designers, and other designers to understand customer needs, define the right problems, and develop solutions that work across a connected platform.

You’ll use flows, prototypes, and detailed designs to make ideas tangible and testable. You’ll bring care to interaction, visual design, accessibility, and the quality of the shipped experience. You’ll also help evolve shared patterns so that the platform becomes more coherent as it grows.

This role is well suited to a designer who enjoys untangling complexity, has strong craft, and is comfortable moving between near-term product needs and longer-term possibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design clear, effective workflows for advertisers, including areas such as campaign creation
  • and management, creative, reporting, insights, and account experiences.
  • Translate complex requirements and customer needs into intuitive flows, interactions,
  • prototypes, and detailed designs.
  • Explore how recommendations, automation, and conversational or agentic experiences could
  • help advertisers understand performance and take action while maintaining clarity, control,
  • and trust.
  • Prototype early and often to evaluate ideas, align partners, and resolve interaction questions
  • before implementation.
  • Partner with engineering throughout development to address constraints, define behavior
  • and states, and deliver a high-quality experience.
  • Apply and help improve shared design system patterns across Apple’s advertising tools.
  • Use research, customer feedback, product data, and critique to challenge assumptions and
  • refine solutions.
  • Communicate design rationale clearly, surface tradeoffs early, and contribute constructively
  • to decisions across disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product design experience and a portfolio demonstrating strong interaction and
  • visual design, clear problem solving, and shipped work.
  • Experience designing complex workflows for web-based products, professional tools, or
  • comparable software.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear concepts and carry a design through detailed
  • execution.
  • Strong prototyping skills and the ability to choose the right fidelity to explore and
  • communicate an idea.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering partners through
  • implementation.
  • Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong communication skills, openness to feedback, and the ability to explain design
  • decisions to varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with advertising, analytics, commerce, business tools, or other data-rich
  • products.
  • Experience designing across multiple connected workflows or a growing product platform.
  • Experience working with and contributing to a design system.
  • Interest or experience in designing useful applications of AI, recommendations, automation,
  • or conversational interfaces.
  • Ability to balance immediate product delivery with exploration of future experiences.
  • Familiarity with Apple’s design tools and presentation practices, including Sketch and
  • Keynote.
