About the job

We are seeking a Vice President, POM Product Specialist to join our Loan Entablements team. The role would be located in our New York, NY offices.

Join BNY’s Loans Enablement Platform team and help shape the future of product innovation across lending, digital assets, and intelligent workflow transformation. We’re looking for commercially minded product professionals who can turn strategic opportunities into scalable platform capabilities, with particular interest in experience across loans, tokenisation, blockchain, and AI.

This role is ideal for a product professional looking to deepen their experience in platform delivery, product execution, and backlog management within a complex and evolving financial services environment. The successful candidate will support the development of product capabilities that improve user outcomes, enable business transformation, and contribute to the modernization of loans-related workflows and platforms. A key focus of the role will be translating business needs into clear requirements, analyzing workflows, and supporting delivery teams with high-quality user stories and execution-ready backlog items.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: •    Support the development and enhancement of product capabilities within the Loans Enablement Platform. •    Help manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories and requirements are clearly defined and aligned to business priorities. •    Document and define business and product requirements, translating stakeholder needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for                   delivery teams. •    Analyze business processes and user workflows to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for product or process improvement. •    Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into clear, actionable delivery artifacts that support execution. •    Partner with colleagues across product, technology, operations, and control functions to support execution of prioritized initiatives. •    Contribute to product lifecycle activities including discovery, analysis, testing, implementation, and post-launch improvement. •    Use data, user feedback, and operational insight to support prioritization decisions and continuous enhancement. •    Support practical innovation by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, digitize processes, and enhance the user experience through well-defined product             changes. •    Monitor developments in the market and emerging technologies, including loans platform transformation, tokenisation, blockchain, and AI, and help assess how               these may translate into future platform requirements or workflow improvements. •    Support preparation of materials that inform product recommendations, prioritization, and delivery planning. •    Ensure product work is delivered in line with governance, risk, legal, and compliance expectations.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: •    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. •    Experience in product management, business analysis, platform delivery, project execution, or a related field. •    Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments. •    Ability to document and manage business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess workflows and translate findings into actionable product requirements. •    Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills. •    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. •    Interest in financial services, platform transformation, and product innovation.

Preferred qualifications: •    Experience in financial services, particularly with exposure to loans or related workflow-based products. •    Familiarity with product backlogs, sprint planning, agile ceremonies, and workflow analysis. •    Exposure to tokenisation, blockchain, or AI-enabled solutions in a business or product context. •    Understanding of regulatory and control considerations in a financial services environment.

What will make you stand out: •    A strong product mindset and curiosity about how platforms create business value through better workflows and user outcomes. •    Experience documenting requirements, writing user stories, and supporting delivery across complex stakeholder groups. •    Interest in the modernization of lending workflows and digital operating models. •    Ability to learn quickly and contribute effectively in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
