About the job
About Intuit Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop looking for new, innovative ways to make that possible.
The Role We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead growth for the TurboTax mobile app. Taxes shouldn’t be a once-a-year event. The app sits in our customers’ pockets all year, which makes it our best channel for acquiring new customers and keeping existing ones. You’ll turn it from a place to file a return into a year-round engagement channel that earns a customer’s attention in every season.
You’ll own the strategy and roadmap for mobile acquisition, activation, and retention across TurboTax’s Do It Yourself, Do It With Me, Full Service, and Business Tax offerings. You’ll work with Design, Engineering, Data Science, AI, and Marketing to build mobile-native experiences that deliver value early, bring customers back, and make the app the first place they think of for their taxes.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
-
Set the mobile growth strategy: Define a multi-year vision for the app as a year-round engagement channel. Decide how it supports acquisition, activation, retention, and lifetime value, and which customer moments matter most in and out of tax season.
-
Drive acquisition through the app: Own the path from app-store discovery, deep links, and campaign landing pages through onboarding to a first start. Improve install-to-start and start-to-complete conversion, especially for mobile-first customers.
-
Build year-round engagement: Create reasons to open the app outside of filing season, such as refund and withholding estimates, tax tools, document capture, life-event prompts, and planning guidance. Use lifecycle levers like push notifications, live activities, widgets, and in-app messaging to bring customers back at the right time, without being intrusive.
-
Deliver value before commitment: Use personalization and AI agents (for example, a W-2 review or cost basis agent) to give customers a useful, personalized insight early. Use that value as the reason to create an account and get started.
-
Lead retention and re-engagement: Identify customers at risk of leaving, and design in-app experiences and interventions that keep them. Work with CRM, Sales, and Assisted teams so the app supports handoffs to experts and appointments across the full customer journey.
-
Run a rigorous experimentation engine: Define and own core mobile growth KPIs (installs, opens, auths, starts, completes, retention, revenue). Design controlled experiments, separate true incremental impact from underlying trends, and use the results to pick the next bet.
-
Own results end to end: Be accountable for your area of the roadmap, from discovery and experimentation through launch, scale, and iteration, including priorities and outcomes.
-
Lead across the organization: Be the hub for the mobile engineering, design, data science, marketing, and platform teams. Partner with Credit Karma, Front Doors, CRM, and Assisted teams to keep the mobile experience consistent with the web and with the rest of the journey.
