Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. The Equipment Technician maintains and improves availability, performance, and quality of electro-optical-mechanical assembly, inspection, and test equipment. The equipment ranges from basic/manual to complex/automated and involves environmental controls, electro-optical-mechanical systems, and fastener/adhesive/sealant applications.
Essential Functions:

Works autonomously on assignments requiring judgment and initiative using knowledge and experience to resolve issues, mentors lower level peers, provides guidance, and makes recommendations for solutions

Perform preventive and corrective equipment maintenance
-
Maintain equipment records in a computerized maintenance management system

Develop equipment preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides

Maintain replacement parts lists and physical parts inventories

Set up preventive maintenance schedules
-
Determine primary failure modes and mechanisms of equipment, predictive measurements, and deterioration inspections

Communicates within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement, and make recommendations
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in the maintenance of electro-optical-mechanical equipment, manufacturing engineering support, and computerized maintenance management systems or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 0-2 years of related experience.
