The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on technical product owner for CME Group’s Data and Analytics Catalog, a strategic platform designed to expedite user onboarding across Real-Time, Historical, and Delayed market data and analytics. In this high-impact individual contributor role, you will bridge the gap between our external catalog, user data licensing, and technical connectivity. You will drive the scope, prioritization, and delivery of the catalog’s roadmap. As the hands-on technical lead driving execution, you will collaborate closely with customers, product, engineering, sales, vendors, and internal stakeholders to build features that streamline data delivery. Key responsibilities include translating direct client feedback into refined technical requirements, resolving complex integration hurdles, and managing vendor relationships to ensure our data ecosystem is secure, robust, and seamlessly accessible for our global clients.

See through product delivery from ideation to demos, performance KPIs, and operational metrics.
- Marketplace Management: Direct day-to-day performance and roadmap execution for the external CME Group data marketplace, ensuring operational SLAs, integration quality, and feature alignment. Write product requirements and stories for engineering teams.
- Metadata Catalog Strategy: Build and maintain an internal metadata catalog and schema registries to serve as the unified engine powering product discovery and interoperability across both vendor-managed and CME-native marketplaces.
- Developer / User Experience: Deliver a strong front-end onboarding experience while leading engineering teams and vendors to define API specifications, data payload formats, and distribution protocols. Engage customers to capture feedback for product development and extract insights from telemetry data to identify areas for feature improvement and validation.
- Monetization: Collaborate with Licensing and Sales to structure data access models, distribution pricing, and vendor licensing workflows across real-time, delayed, and historical data feeds to increase Data Services revenue. Ensure this works seamlessly with billing systems.
