Oracle is hiring a Principal Product Manager, OCI Application Management in Seattle, WA, United States; United States. Posted October 15, 2026.
About the job
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Product Manager to simplify how customers turn application requirements into working, governed deployments. You will define the application deployment “golden path,” helping developers and platform teams select deployment patterns, provision infrastructure, configure delivery pipelines, and deploy applications with appropriate access controls and organizational policies.
In this role, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and customer experience across this journey. You will partner with teams responsible for OCI Resource Manager and Terraform, OCI DevOps, managed compute services and directly provisioned OCI Compute, API Gateway, registries, and IAM. Your work will connect these capabilities into a coherent workflow that reduces manual configuration, resolves friction between services, and establishes the application context needed for ongoing operations.
The ideal candidate brings:
-
8+ years of relevant experience, with substantial experience owning technically complex products.
-
Experience building products for internal developer platforms, developer toolchains, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure automation.
-
Strong technical fluency in Terraform, infrastructure as code, cloud architecture, APIs, artifact management, and IAM.
-
Demonstrated success leading initiatives across multiple engineering and product teams through technical judgment and influence.
-
Strong customer discovery, analytical, prioritization, and written communication skills.
-
A record of delivering products from concept through launch and adoption, with measurable improvements in developer productivity.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Customer insight and product direction: Understand how developers and platform teams translate application needs into deployment decisions. Define target workflows, identify adoption barriers, and establish a product strategy that balances developer autonomy with enterprise governance.
- Application intent and deployment patterns: Define how customers express application requirements, select runtime and infrastructure patterns, configure environments, and choose application artifacts. Develop requirements for reusable templates and sensible defaults that simplify common deployment scenarios.
- Infrastructure and delivery integration: Connect Resource Manager and Terraform workflows with OCI DevOps pipelines, compute targets, API Gateway, and registries. Resolve gaps between provisioning, artifact selection, deployment configuration, and application delivery.
- Governance and deployment readiness: Incorporate IAM, environment boundaries, policy checks, approvals, and configuration validation into the deployment journey. Make prerequisites, permissions, and deployment failures understandable and actionable.
- Roadmap and execution: Own product requirements, prioritization, acceptance criteria, and release planning across the deployment experience. Align service teams on dependencies and integration contracts, balancing immediate customer needs with a durable architecture.
- Application registration and operational handoff: Ensure deployed applications retain consistent identity, ownership, resource associations, environment information, artifact versions, and release metadata. Partner with the application operations PM to carry this context into the production experience.
- Developer experience and improvement: Validate workflows through customer interviews, usability research, and hands-on evaluations. Measure time to first successful deployment, workflow completion, deployment success, and manual effort, using these findings to guide investment.
- Launch and adoption: Recruit design partners, validate deployment patterns, and coordinate documentation, demonstrations, reference examples, and field enablement. Help customers adopt the experience within their existing developer toolchains.
