Just imagine transforming a traditional IT support function into a high-performing engineering organization that enables the future of digital services. The strategic drive for this is clear, but can you be part of shaping the details and making it real?
About the role
As our Senior Manager & Competency Leader, you'll lead a local Onsite Technology team while contributing as a key member of a global leadership team. You'll bring together people-leadership, technical insight, project delivery, stakeholder influence, and transformation leadership to strengthen engineering capabilities and build a future-ready organization. Alongside leading and developing the team, you'll oversee IT infrastructure projects across the Americas region, including new offices, expansions, relocations, and partnerships with external technology providers.
Required Qualifications
- Led complex IT infrastructure projects including new offices, office expansions, or relocations, covering planning, budget management, supplier coordination, risk management, and delivery.
- Managed external IT partners delivering onsite technology services.
- Drove a transition from traditional IT support toward an engineering-led operating model.
- Implemented modern ways of working that improved technology delivery consistency and reliability.
- Built and developed technical teams by identifying capability gaps and creating structured development plans.
- Established effective partnerships with business stakeholders and global technology or product teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Delivered automation initiatives that improved IT operations or service delivery.
- Led teams using agile ways of working to improve collaboration and delivery outcomes.
What you'll build
- A skilled, engaged, and high-performing Onsite Technology team.
- Clear priorities, accountability, and alignment with business objectives.
- Strong engineering, automation, and proactive technology enablement capabilities.
- Consistent delivery of local technology projects across the region.
- Trusted partnerships across business and digital technology teams.
- Meaningful contributions to organizational strategy and transformational change as part of the global leadership team.
If you've worked in a role where you delivered complex technology projects, transformed IT operations, and developed technical teams, you'll feel at home here. What matters most is your ability to combine strong leadership with practical delivery, creating measurable improvements for both people and technology.
Life on the team
You'll join Hubs, Offices & Sites Onsite Technology within Digital Technology. The team provides the local presence and engineering expertise needed to bring digital products to life while acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and product teams. We work in global agile rhythms with regular planning, demonstrations, retrospectives, and weekly stand-ups. You'll be part of a culture that values strategic thinking, problem solving, simplifying complexity, technical excellence, ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement in a hybrid working environment.
What success looks like
Success means helping the team evolve into an engineering-driven organization recognized for consistent, high-quality service delivery. Over the next 12 to 18 months, you'll support the shift toward more project and implementation work while strengthening local technology deployments and reliable operations. You'll work closely with Regional GMs, Lead Engineers, Competency Leads, and Digital project teams, helping shape both regional outcomes and global direction.
