Our team ensures these systems remain secure, resilient, and modern to meet evolving mission needs for the decade ahead.

As a Technical Writer

you will support the technical planning, development, and integration of digital‑twin capabilities that advance program goals and mission outcomes. You will help shape concepts, architectures, and model‑based engineering artifacts that ensure digital‑twin solutions are aligned, interoperable, and technically sound across the broader system landscape.

The ideal candidate will possess foundational experience supporting configuration management processes, technical documentation development, change control, and operational support activities within DoD, aerospace, cyber, or mission-focused environments while collaborating closely with engineering, software development, cybersecurity, integration, and operations teams to ensure technical accuracy, audit readiness, and configuration integrity across the program lifecycle.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and enforcement of organizational documentation standards, style guidelines, and best practices across software and systems engineering programs.

  • Produce clear, accurate, and structured documentation, including system architecture guides, API documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational run books, and customer-facing deliverables.

  • Manage and publish classified technical documentation in a SCIF environment in strict accordance with federal security protocols, classification guidelines, and government contract requirements.

  • Direct end-to-end documentation lifecycle workflows, including drafting, version control, technical review, stakeholder reconciliation, approvals, and secure publication.

  • Collaborate with developers, systems/test engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to translate complex engineering concepts into accessible, high-quality technical content.

  • Create executive-level briefings, white papers, technical reports, and strategic communications for internal leadership and government clients

An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

  • Proven experience documenting software architectures, system workflows, and APIs within an Agile or software development lifecycle (SDLC) framework.

  • Hands-on experience using modern documentation platforms, version control systems (e.g., Git, JIRA/Confluence, SharePoint), and publishing tools such as Dropbox, DOD-Safe, etc.

  • Demonstrated ability to establish style guides, enforce documentation standards, and manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with experience tailoring content for both developer and executive audiences.
