About the job

The Systems Manager, Delivery & Change Management, leads user enablement and change communications for Enterprise Data & Analytics platforms, including C3.ai, Azure Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role helps users adopt analytics tools confidently and independently through self-service resources, training, and platform governance guardrails. Working across platform operations, engineering, cloud services, and enterprise architecture, the manager represents user needs, communicates platform changes, and turns feedback into prioritized improvements.

In this role, you will lead delivery management across multiple parallel technical workstreams to ensure smooth, well-governed, and reliable platform releases. You will act as the core orchestrator tracking platform dependencies, technical risks, and schedule milestones. Additionally, you will drive stakeholder communication, construct technical status reporting, and run comprehensive release governance and readiness reviews, ensuring alignment with downstream business partners, cloud infrastructure teams, and corporate governance.

This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

  • Delivery Management Across All Workstreams: Direct and facilitate delivery across parallel platform workstreams (including Platform Operations, Data Engineering, and Platform Data Governance), steering Agile ceremonies, tracking technical deliverables, and ensuring execution velocity.
  • Change Management & Rollout Coordination: Design, establish, and execute the operational change management (OCM) frameworks, training guides, and communications necessary to prepare the organization for platform upgrades, migration rollouts, and new cloud feature releases.
  • Dependency, Risk, & Milestone Tracking: Proactively map out inter-workstream dependencies, identify critical path blockages, and manage platform-level risk logs, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure predictable platform timelines.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Status Reporting: Author and publish transparent, data-driven status updates, dashboards for key performance indicator (KPI), adherence to agreed upon service level agreement / objective (SLA/O) and strategic reports for engineering managers, executive leadership, and business stakeholders.
  • Release Governance & Readiness Reviews: Define, implement, and lead formal production readiness reviews (PRRs) and release governance checkpoints to verify compliance, architectural alignment, operational runbooks, and rollback plan viability before deployment.
  • Agile Tooling & Workflow Optimization: Own and configure the platform's delivery management tools (i.e. Azure DevOps) to maintain work visibility, epic-to-task traceability, and automated sprint metrics.
  • Collaborative Planning: Coordinate with source systems owners, legacy database teams, and cloud engineering organizations to establish aligned release windows, reducing service disruption across the company.
  • Lead and develop a team through coaching, performance management, and effective work assignment to drive aligned execution and business outcomes.
