Become a part of our caring community

Are you passionate about solving complex healthcare problems through data and technology? Do you enjoy turning complex data and recurring business needs into reliable analytics solutions that help people understand what is happening, why it is happening, and where action is needed?

Join Humana's Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting organization and the Visual Insights team as a Senior Analytics Solutions Engineer!

In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain standardized reporting and analytics solutions that support ongoing program operations and business decision-making. You will work across Azure Databricks and Power BI to transform complex healthcare data into scalable reporting products, reusable data models, and consistent business metrics.

This is more than a dashboard development role. You will work at the intersection of analytics engineering, data visualization, semantic modeling, and AI-enabled analytics, helping build the analytical foundation behind our reporting products while exploring new ways to make trusted data and insights more accessible through capabilities such as Genie One.

As a Senior Analytics Solutions Engineer within Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting, you will:

•   Design, develop, and maintain standardized reporting and analytics solutions supporting the CMS GLP-1 Bridge demonstration and future related programs.

•   Build analytics-ready data solutions using Azure Databricks and SQL, including data transformation, modeling, validation, and reusable business logic.

•   Develop and maintain Power BI reports, semantic models, measures, and visualizations that provide reliable and consistent views of program performance and operational activity.

•   Create reusable datasets, metrics, and reporting patterns that standardize recurring analytical needs and reduce reliance on manual and ad hoc reporting.

•   Partner with business, clinical, pharmacy, analytics, and technology stakeholders to translate complex and evolving requirements into scalable analytical solutions.

•   Apply data quality, governance, documentation, and visualization practices that make analytical products reliable, understandable, and maintainable.

•   Explore and apply AI-enabled and conversational analytics, including capabilities such as Genie One, to improve how users interact with standardized and governed data.

•   Contribute to evolving team capabilities across Power BI, Azure Databricks, semantic modeling, analytics engineering, and AI.

•   Exercise considerable independence in determining technical approaches and solutions for moderately complex to complex assignments.

•   Ability to transform complex data into accessible, actionable insights for business leaders and stakeholders

•   Experience developing standardized, recurring reporting and analytics solutions for ongoing business or operational needs

•   Ability to independently translate complex requirements into analytical solutions and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred Qualifications:

•   Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

•   2 or more years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks or a comparable cloud data and analytics platform, including data transformation, analytical modeling, or development of analytics and AI-ready datasets
