A leading financial technology organization is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join its team in Chicago, IL. This company powers the connection between millions of merchants and consumers, enabling real-time access to funds while delivering innovative solutions across the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). In this role, you will serve as a technical leader, guiding and mentoring junior engineers while designing, building, and maintaining highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a self-driven engineer with deep AWS expertise and a strong background supporting cloud platforms, automation, and DevOps practices from development through production operations.
Required Skills
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS).
- Hands-on scripting and programming experience.
Desired Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud frameworks and chaos engineering.
- Understanding of RPO/RTO requirements.
