About the job

About the role

As a Senior Data Modeler, you will make an impact by designing and evolving enterprise data models that enable event-driven architecture, real-time data products, and scalable business capabilities. You will be a valued member of the Enterprise Data Architecture team and work collaboratively with domain subject matter experts, architects, engineers, governance teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reusable and trusted data assets across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Design and maintain enterprise, domain, event, and consumption models that support real-time business processes and data products.
  • Define durable event and data contracts using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles, including bounded contexts, aggregates, and domain events.
  • Develop conceptual and logical data models that establish consistent business definitions and align data across diverse source systems.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture teams to support event-streaming platforms, schema management, state reconstruction, and cross-platform data integration.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, semantic ownership, and lifecycle management standards are embedded throughout the modeling process.

  • Strong expertise applying Domain-Driven Design concepts to create scalable and reusable data and event contracts.
  • Experience developing conceptual, logical, and enterprise data models across complex business domains.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL data modeling, including historical, temporal, document, key-value, and search-oriented data structures.
  • Knowledge of event-streaming platforms, schema registries, change data capture (CDC), and real-time data consumption patterns.
  • Experience designing analytical and lakehouse data models and translating operational event data into reporting and analytics structures.
  • Ability to model and align domain representations across events, APIs, transactional systems, analytical platforms, and search technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, lineage, data quality, and contract versioning practices.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, and governance teams in large enterprise environments.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data structures.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud-native data architectures.
  • Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, Aurora PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, or Elasticsearch.
