About the job

The Senior Oracle Application Administrator ensures the operational health, security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability of the enterprise Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP ecosystem. This hands-on technical role is responsible for environment administration, user provisioning, role-based security, OCI console management, release cycles, and tier-level production support across both the active ERP implementation and subsequent steady-state operations. The position focuses on core application and cloud infrastructure administration rather than traditional database administration, functional ERP consulting, or custom software development.

This position is located onsite in Springfield MO, Remote work is not an option

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP environments to ensure maximum availability, system performance, data integrity, and strict adherence to enterprise security baselines.

  • Manage quarterly Oracle Cloud update cycles, release management schedules, patch testing, environment refreshes (P2T/T2T), and post-refresh configuration validation across non-production and production pods.

  • Design, implement, and audit Oracle Fusion role-based access control (RBAC), user lifecycle provisioning, security profiles, data security policies, and separation of duties (SoD).

  • Manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) console administration, including Identity and Access Management (IAM/IDCS), compartment structure, single sign-on (SSO/SAML), and cloud security guardrails.

  • Support integration infrastructure and connectivity between Oracle Fusion and third-party systems, managing REST/SOAP APIs, authentication tokens, credentials, and coordinating with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) developers.

  • Monitor system health and performance diagnostics, proactively identifying and correcting complex software defects, integration exceptions, and scheduled background process errors.

  • Provide Tier II/III fault isolation, root-cause analysis, and prompt incident resolution, coordinating directly with Oracle Support via Metalink/My Oracle Support (MOS) service requests (SRs).

  • Partner cross-functionally across IT and business teams:

  • Coordinate with enterprise infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure uninterrupted connectivity, endpoint security, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with third-party implementation partners and functional leads during cutovers, system testing, and business readiness phases.

  • Support and contribute to technical documentation of "as-is" and "to-be" operational processes, runbooks, configuration workbooks, and architectural change records.

  • Maintain an understanding of emerging Oracle Cloud features, external regulatory changes, and industry best practices to recommend ongoing process and platform improvements.

Skills:

Required:

  • Implements, configures, and optimizes Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP environments, maintaining environment stability, release cadence, and cloud tenant configurations.
  • Administers enterprise security and identity, designing and governing role-based access control (RBAC), user provisioning, privileges, and IAM/IDCS access controls.
  • Monitors, diagnoses, and fixes complex technical problems, utilizing cloud diagnostics, error logs, and enterprise ticketing systems to isolate and resolve system incidents promptly.
  • Ensures confidentiality, integrity, and availability, enforcing compliance, security best practices, and data protection standards across cloud business systems.
  • Creates, runs, and evaluates system queries and reports, extracting diagnostic data and system health metrics to assist in operational decision-making.
  • Manages API and integration connectivity, troubleshooting REST/SOAP endpoints, web service authentications, and enterprise interfaces across external services.
  • Executes structured testing and change control, verifying quarter-over-quarter patch integrity, regression test outcomes, and configuration deployments.
  • Communicates effectively across technical and functional domains, clearly documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalating critical vendor issues, and guiding stakeholders through complex policies.

Preferred:

  • Direct administration experience with Oracle Fusion Financials and Procurement modules.
  • Practical exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), OCI networking/vaults, and cloud storage management.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML 2.0 / federated identity providers (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta).
  • Working familiarity with OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) and BI Publisher report deployment and data model security.
  • Experience with administrative scripting/automation (Python, Shell, or REST API payloads) for repetitive environment tasks.
  • Prior experience participating in end-to-end enterprise Oracle ERP Cloud implementations, upgrades, or migrations.
