Standard Job Description

Conducts mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Develops detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites. Provides technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support. Provides failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilizes system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommends improvements. Analyzes and validates software performance. Performs flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science and technology related program such as Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines, etc. or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree. • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.

Desired Skills

• Experience working with on-orbit spacecraft or satellite flight operations. Familiarity in one of the following: LINUX, MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, XML. • Understanding of software / hardware infrastructure, middleware, and system architectures. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment • Proficient with MS Office

  • Prior Double Eagle Program experience preferred

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
