Job Description
Primary Function of Position
The Senior Engineering Technician is responsible for supporting the Advanced Product Development engineering team in the assembly, documentation, and testing of new product concepts. This person is directly responsible for assembling prototypes and providing feedback to the engineering and manufacturing teams. In addition, the person will assist with maintaining tooling, fixtures, and a safe, clean, and well-organized engineering lab space.
A strong sense of shared responsibility and shared reward is required as well as a commitment to high product quality.
Essential Job Duties
Serve as primary support for assembling complex mechanical-electrical prototypes
- Track build issues and document manufacturing processes
- Provide assembly process feedback to the engineering team
- Train, mentor support technicians
- Organize and maintain inventory in an R&D environment
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized engineering lab
