Job Summary

We are currently seeking 2027 full-time summer interns, including potential for part-time employment during the semester, in the Regulatory Programs engineering group. Two positions will be located at the Millstone Power Station in Waterford, CT.  An additional position will be located at Dominion’s Innsbrook Technical Center in Glen Allen, VA. The Regulatory Programs group supports Dominion’s four nuclear power plant sites in Virginia, South Carolina, and Connecticut with Engineering Program management to ensure regulatory compliance. The individuals in these roles will work under the mentoring of experienced fleet engineers.

The candidates reporting to the Millstone Power Station will provide dynamic support for the fleet fire protection programs from the Millstone site in Waterford, CT.  The role will involve evaluating existing program and license conditions to identify and implement efficiencies optimizing long-term maintenance of the fire protection program and equipment. This role will also include response to emergent issues, including trouble shooting, and attending site meetings to discuss fire protection program/system health, challenges, and proposed changes. The role in CT requires unescorted access to a nuclear power plant to perform field walkdowns to evaluate fire protection equipment and hazards.  Interns in this role will work directly with the fleet fire protection lead stationed at Millstone. The candidate reporting to Innsbrook will work with fleet regulatory program engineers to provide as-needed support across the fleet and within multiple disciplines. Support may include License Renewal/Aging Management, Fire Protection, In-Service Testing (IST), Maintenance Rule, Equipment Qualification (EQ), Cyber Security, or Beyond Design Basis (BDB).
