About the job
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Automation Engineer – EPMS Design based in the United States.
The Automation Engineer – EPMS Design will design, develop, and implement automation and monitoring systems for large-scale, mission-critical data center projects. The role covers Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and SCADA platforms throughout the full project lifecycle, from engineering design and documentation to system development, testing, and commissioning. You will combine hands-on technical development with detailed engineering drawing production, ensuring that design packages remain accurate and consistent as projects evolve. Working with a nationwide engineering team, you will collaborate with project managers, design leads, field technicians, customers, consultants, contractors, and equipment manufacturers. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in AutoCAD, PLC programming, SCADA development, and industrial communications while contributing to critical infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned project scopes, solve technical challenges independently, and help guide junior team members. Professional development and a potential progression toward technical leadership are important parts of this opportunity.
