  • When a milestone slips or scope changes, you do not panic, you assess impact, communicate options, and help the team decide what to do next
  • You know how to say no when a request does not align with program goals, and you can explain why in a way that keeps the relationship intact
  • You motivate teams not with speeches but by removing blockers, clarifying priorities, and making sure people know their work matters
  • You learn new tools and processes quickly, whether it is a new project tracking system, a customer portal, or an internal R&D workflow
  • You stay calm under pressure, especially when multiple customers are asking for updates and the engineering team is heads-down fixing a critical issue
