  • Draft and maintain employment-related policies, procedures, templates, offer letters, separation agreements, and other employment documentation.
  • Manage employment litigation, agency charges, and outside counsel relationships to achieve favorable business outcomes.
  • Monitor developments in federal, state, and local employment laws and translate legal requirements into actionable guidance, policies, and training programs.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate transactions by conducting employment-related due diligence, workforce assessments, and integration activities.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on employment law topics, workplace compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with senior legal leadership on strategic initiatives, corporate projects, and legal department priorities.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and work direction to Associate Counsels, Assistant Counsels, Paralegals, and other Legal Department team members.

What You Will Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of employment law experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or combination of both.

  • Experience advising business leaders and Human Resources/Talent teams on complex employment-related issues.
  • Experience managing employment litigation, agency investigations, and outside counsel relationships.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal projects with significant business impact.
