Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring that payroll and payroll-related activities are processed appropriately, with guidance and general oversight from the Payroll Manager.
Key Result Areas
Process payroll on time and accurately:

Run bi-weekly payroll for Dutch Bros. LLC

Process individualized payroll activities that include (but are not limited to):
-
Garnishments
-
Payroll Draws
-
Direct deposits
-
Administer stand employee bonuses, as dictated by Finance/Accounting Departments
-
Distribute manual payroll checks
-
Process manual checks, as requested by Human Resources Department
-
Protect DB operations by maintaining strict confidentiality
-
Track and update payroll change paperwork
-
Print pay stubs upon request
Maintain clear, open communication with HR and Finance/ Accounting Departments:

Create and maintain employee Payroll files for DB LLC
-
Support employees with use of time and attendance software
-
Answer inquiries regarding employment verification

Assist employees with establishing online user access

Document and update DB LLC payroll processes, as needed
Respond to employee and HQ Payroll inquiries within 1 business day:

Provide payroll information to other departments, as needed, through reports, charts, graphs, or other requested presentation methods

Respond to Verification of Employment requests and wage verifications

Employee system troubleshooting

Assist with employee questions regarding W2s, Direct Deposit, and pay-stubs

Coordinate internal and external meetings, as needed, to ensure all departments, Operators, and Franchisees have the necessary information

Job Qualifications

1 year of payroll/HR/admin experience required

High school degree, or GED, required

Associate degree, preferred

Must have good mathematical skills

Prior DB experience, preferred

Must be able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting required reporting
-

Ability to work independently, with little supervision, and interact positively with others

Intuitive analytical skills to proactively address and identify accounting and operational issues

Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and timely manner

Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced and growing organization
Location Requirement:
- This position is located in Phoenix, AZ. This position is required to be in office 4 days Revised Sept 2025 per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
