The Tactical and Advanced Hypersonics Division of Leidos Defense is seeking a talented Control Account Manager to join the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile – Nuclear (SLCM-N) team to create unique solutions for complex problems. Primary Responsibilities.
- Lead discussions to define Control Account (CA) scope and decompose work into discrete, deliverable-oriented tasks.
- Fully direct technical and functional resources to perform work and meet project objectives.
- Communicate and review staffing needs with functional managers across multiple product teams.
- Evaluate daily execution activities and metrics to ensure successful CA performance.
- Enter monthly inputs into the Leidos EVM tool(s), including IMS status, BCRs, ETCs, and VARs.
- Review and analyze EVM data (SPI/CPI/TCPI) and schedules (BEI/CEI) at the WP and CA levels.
- Review weekly labor reports to validate actual costs incurred versus baseline and forecast.
- Review, approve, and disseminate Control Account Work Authorizations (CAWA) throughout the program lifecycle.
- Generate timely Estimates to Complete (ETC) and write formal cost and schedule recovery plans.
- Manage risks, identify opportunities at the CA level, and work with the IPT on mitigation strategies.
- Support the PMO in identifying and mitigating cost, schedule, and technical risks.
- Develop business cases for the Change Control Board and assess supply chain vulnerability for contemplated changes.

Basic Qualifications.

BA degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.

Demonstrated track record in a prior Control Account Manager (CAM) or Earned Value Management (EVM) role.

Experience developing, maintaining, and tracking the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB), and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

Direct experience validating actual costs, generating Estimates to Complete (ETC), and forecasting Estimates at Completion (EAC).

Knowledge of compliance and customer reporting standards, including IPMR and IPMDAR.

Mastery of baseline change control processes (BCRs), monthly schedule status processes, and the work authorization process (CAWAs).

Ability to conduct root-cause analysis, develop variance rationale, and implement formal cost/schedule recovery plans.

Proven ability to partner with multiple program functions to protect cost and schedule baselines.

Experience coordinating near-term schedules and execution plans directly with Manufacturing.

Experience integrating EVMS with risk management and supporting proposal or business development activities.

Proven capability to perform effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications.

Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Computer, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.

Strong understanding of engineering lifecycle processes (systems engineering, software engineering, mechanical engineering, hardware integration and production).

Ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or externally) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project, serving as a primary briefer on Cost, Schedule, Performance, IBRs, EVM reviews and other program control events inside the Program and for Leidos leadership.

Experience supporting complex defense programs, particularly with the U.S. Army or Navy
