Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform new loan boarding and servicing-system setup for commercial real estate loans.
  • Review executed loan and transaction documents to identify key servicing requirements and translate those requirements into an accurate servicing setup.

  • Understand and validate complex loan structures, including component-level information and collateral relationships.
  • Validate loan balances, payment terms, interest rates, payment dates, escrow and reserve requirements, collateral information, and other key servicing data against governing documents.
  • Identify instances where boarding data, transferred servicing data, or system information does not agree with executed loan documents.
  • Research and reconcile discrepancies involving payments, balances, interest calculations, escrow amounts, and other servicing data.
  • Support servicing transfers and portfolio conversions by validating transferred information against governing documents and servicing records.
  • Document validation work, exceptions, corrections, and conclusions clearly enough for another analyst, manager, quality-control reviewer, or auditor to follow.
  • Escalate exceptions or conflicting information when the governing documents do not provide sufficient support for a servicing determination rather than making unsupported assumptions.
  • Perform loan boarding quality-control activities and ensure identified exceptions are appropriately resolved before final validation.
  • Maintain loan documentation through established imaging, retention, and workflow processes.
  • Support release/satisfaction processing, UCC administration, and customer service inquiries.
  • Take ownership of assigned loans through the onboarding and validation process, with the level of independence appropriate to experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve or automate loan onboarding, reconciliation, exception-management, and quality-control processes.
