About the job
This role reports directly to the Controller, working closely with the CFO, Tax Director, Accounting Directors, and other senior finance leaders. The Global Treasurer will serve as Perficient’s senior treasury leader, setting the strategic direction for global treasury and risk management and advising the CFO and executive leadership on capital structure, liquidity, funding, and financial risk. This role is accountable for the Company’s global treasury strategy, policy framework, and governance, including strategic initiatives related to liquidity and capital strategy, foreign exchange and hedging strategy, debt and capital markets financing, banking partnerships, investments, enterprise risk and insurance, the real estate and lease portfolio, and oversight of treasury operations delivered by the treasury team and shared services. This is a hands-on leadership role: the Global Treasurer balances strategic direction with rolling up their sleeves to execute day-to-day treasury work directly. The Global Treasurer will provide leadership, oversight, and business partnership across the organization to ensure effective liquidity management, risk mitigation, compliance, and long-term value creation.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the global treasury strategy in alignment with the Company’s financial and business strategy, serving as a trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on capital structure, liquidity, and financial risk.
· Define the treasury technology and automation roadmap and sponsor system implementations; ensure transaction processing, bank account reporting, payments, and cash positioning are executed accurately and efficiently by the treasury team and shared services.
· Set and oversee company-wide treasury policies, internal controls, and governance standards, including implementation and ongoing management of a SOX control framework for the Treasury function.
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with commercial and investment banking partners, lenders, and capital markets advisors; own the global banking structure and financing strategy, including credit facilities, and oversee related controls, and compliance with reporting requirements.
· Own the global foreign exchange risk strategy and hedging program; monitor exposure, approve strategies to reduce it, and report regularly to the CFO and senior leadership.
· Lead liquidity and capital strategy, including M&A funding, debt capacity, and short-term and long-term liquidity forecasting; personally build and maintain the modeling and reporting that inform executive and Board decision-making.
· Set investment, debt, counterparty, and other treasury-related risk policies to mitigate global treasury risks in alignment with the Company’s strategy.
· Set the strategy for global insurance programs and enterprise risk transfer, including oversight of relationships with insurance brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
· Set the strategy for the global real estate portfolio and oversee internal/external real estate partnerships.
· Partner with the Tax Director on strategies to maximize the efficiency of the global cash management program.
· Ensure timely and accurate completion, through the treasury team, of annual Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts reporting.
· Build, develop, and lead a high-performing global treasury team, while remaining hands-on in day-to-day treasury operations and delegating as the team grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in finance, economics, accounting, or business; MBA, CTP, or CFA preferred.
· 12+ years of progressive professional experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or related fields, including senior-level experience leading global treasury functions; prior leadership of a team.
· Demonstrated experience developing and executing liquidity, capital structure, and banking strategy across multiple countries and legal entities.
· Experience designing, implementing, or managing foreign exchange exposure mitigation strategies, including hedging programs or other risk management mechanisms.
· Experience with capital markets, debt financing, and M&A funding, including negotiating credit facilities and managing lender relationships.
· Strategic Leadership Skills: Proven ability to develop and communicate a multi-year treasury vision, translate enterprise priorities into financial strategy, and influence senior executives and the Board.
· Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to articulate analyses from the interpretation of financial reports and legal documents. Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior executives and finance partners. Experience presenting complex materials in a concise manner to senior executives to drive effective decision-making.
· Superior Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated intellectual and analytical thoroughness as well as experience resolving complex business problems with well-structured analytics.
· Reasoning and Judgment Skills: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Team Skills: Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with demonstrated ability to articulate and drive towards desired outcomes. Must be able to lead across and through the matrix organization to ensure effective and efficient decision-making.
· Business Partnering and Leadership Skills: Demonstrated success engaging senior leadership in effective decision-making, with strong project management skills and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a broad range of stakeholders.
· Organization / Time Management Skills: Prioritize effectively across strategic initiatives and operational demands; delegate and develop others to achieve optimal efficiency and productivity while ensuring business deadlines and requirements are met.
· Systems skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and Oracle; experience with treasury management systems, banking platforms, and reporting or forecasting tools preferred.
