  • Solid understanding of invoices, accruals, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills and the ability to work accurately with financial information.

  • Familiarity with accounting and business tools such as QuickBooks, Stripe, Brex, Carta, or comparable platforms.

  • Meticulous attention to detail when managing money, financial records, confidential information, and time-sensitive obligations.

  • Strong investigative and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, understand unfamiliar issues, and deliver clear answers.

  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, particularly when coordinating several stakeholders or external service providers.

  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions independently while recognizing when specialist guidance or escalation is necessary.

  • Comfort learning unfamiliar systems, navigating ambiguity, and taking a hands-on approach to solving operational problems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to raise issues early and provide sufficient context to support timely decisions.

  • Interest in applying an accounting foundation across a broader business operations role, with the flexibility to take on responsibilities beyond traditional finance.

  • Willingness to use AI tools, data, and automation to improve operational workflows.

  • Ability to handle confidential financial, employee, and corporate information with discretion.

  • Willingness to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment, with an expected workload of approximately 60–70 hours per week.

  • Total compensation ranging from USD/CAD 100,000–170,000, including base salary and equity, depending on experience. The source does not specify the currency denomination of the compensation range.

  • Fully remote working arrangement, available to candidates based in the United States or Canada.
