Job Description:

Manages sonography staff, including day-to-day operations, scheduling, and coordination. Responsible for hiring, evaluating, terminating, educating, and orienting staff. Measures and tracks performance levels. Revises or creates new procedures to optimize patient care or workflow. Functions as acting sonographer in addition to supervisory duties. Organizes and leads meetings as needed. Coordinates with other practices when patient load, vacation schedules, etc., make it necessary. Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with organizational standards and regulations. Provides training and development opportunities for staff. Monitors and maintains equipment and supplies. Addresses and resolves staff and patient issues. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, instrumentation, basic physics, patient care and medical ethics [Required]

• Ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking with patients, co-workers and physicians [Required]

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:

• graduate or equivalent

• or Bachelor’s degree

Work Experience:

• 3+ experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) [Required] OR

• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) [Required] OR

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) [Required]

Pay Range:

$35.05 - $65.19 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
