Job Details

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family. Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.

The Heart Failure Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic features 10 private beds and cares for adults with complex and advanced heart failure. The unit cares for patients with ongoing medical conditions, including those awaiting heart transplant or needing intensive medical care. Nurses provide specialized treatments and closely monitor patients’ condition. Some patients may require advanced support, including mechanical ventilation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, or left ventricular assist devices. The unit also cares for adolescent and adult patients with pulmonary hypertension who require specialized monitoring and treatment.

As a new graduate RN on this unit, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills while caring for patients with complex conditions. You will receive specialized ICU and device training that will help you build confidence and strengthen your critical-thinking skills. Working in the Heart Failure ICU will allow you to learn how to care for critically ill patients, gain experience with advanced therapies and technology, and work closely with an experienced interdisciplinary team. This environment will challenge you to learn, grow, and develop the skills needed to become a confident and well-rounded ICU nurse.
