Department/Unit Summary

Join our dedicated team at our 20-bed Behavioral Health facility, where collaboration, compassion, and quality patient care are our top priorities. As a House Supervisor RN, working closely with clinical staff, you'll help oversee daily operations, support staff development, promote documentation excellence, and serve as a valuable resource for patient care and operational needs. This role offers a unique blend of leadership and hands-on nursing, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on both patients and team members while contributing to a positive, supportive work environment.

How you’ll contribute

  • Assist the administration staff in overseeing and assisting all staff in all functions to ensure the provision of quality general and psychiatric care to patients suffering from substance abuse or psychiatric disorders

  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of staff in nursing area and assists the department managers with scheduling, education and discipline of staff when needed.

  • Involved in direct patient care, education and training, and participation in departmental and hospitals meetings as assigned.

  • Review documentation and work with staff to ensure that documentation is timely, accurate and complete.

  • May also serve as a working RN and routinely personally executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.

Qualifications and requirements Applicants should have a current Washington RN license or Compact RN licensure and possess a bachelor’s degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
  • Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
