About the job
Medical Assistant
Lifetime Health and Wellness Center | Employee & Family Health Clinic
Join the Lifetime Health and Wellness Center, an onsite family-practice clinic serving employees and their dependents while also providing occupational injury care. We're seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care, coordinate daily clinical workflows, mentor peers, and serve as a trusted resource for the care team. This is a hands-on peer-lead role built on experience, communication, and example rather than formal supervisory authority.
What we offer: Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), and additional employee benefits-plus a weekday schedule with no evenings or weekends.
What You'll Do
-
Coordinate daily workflows and coverage to maintain efficient patient flow.
-
Serve as a clinical resource and peer mentor, supporting onboarding, training, and consistent practices.
-
Communicate priorities and escalate staffing, patient care, or operational concerns to clinic leadership.
-
Prepare patients for examinations and treatment, including medical histories and vital signs.
-
Maintain examination rooms, instruments, supplies, equipment, and sterilization standards.
-
Administer injections, perform blood draws, and support laboratory functions.
-
Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
-
Coordinate tests, treatments, follow-up needs, and related communication.
-
Model compliance with clinic policies, safety, infection-control, and documentation standards.
-
Identify workflow, supply, or training needs and recommend improvements.
What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and a service-focused approach to guiding peers through communication and example.
Required Qualifications
-
Current Medical Assistant certification.
-
1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
-
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
-
Current CPR certification.
-
Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflows, communicate priorities, and support a collaborative team.
-
Strong organization, judgment, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Helpful experience for this peer-lead role includes:
-
Previous lead, preceptor, training, or peer-mentoring experience in a healthcare setting.
-
Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
-
Phlebotomy experience.
-
Experience supporting process improvement, inventory coordination, or regulatory readiness.
Schedule
-
No evenings or weekends.
-
Monday and Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
-
Tuesday and Thursday: 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
-
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
