Reporting to the Nursing Director of the assigned area. Performs duties under the direction of the Registered

Nurse (RN)/Charge Nurse. Responsible for providing high quality individualized basic care activities within

the Nursing Assistant scope of practice

Responsibilities

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma required

Minimum Experience/Skills:

• One (1) year recent Acute Care experience preferred

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

• Must possess and maintain throughout the duration of employment:
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Provider issued by the American Heart Association
• Current CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training (or must obtain within 90 days of hire/transfer)
• Certified Nursing Assistant license preferred
