About the job

Join an established ER team in Prescott.

We're hiring an experienced ER Nurse for days at our Prescott hospital. This is a close-knit team with steady leadership and a community that knows us. You won't be building the plane while flying it. You'll join a department that already works and help make it better.

You'll provide direct and indirect patient care with initiative, flexibility, and sound judgment, working with minimal supervision. Every ER RN on our team triages safely, rapidly, and accurately for every patient who comes through our doors.

Why EHC Prescott?

  • An established hospital with a stable, experienced team
  • Day shift for better work-life balance
  • Comfortable patient ratios that allow for real patient connection
  • Greater autonomy and direct communication with leadership
  • A path to clinical leadership, plus cross-training opportunities
  • Full-spectrum Med Lab, Radiology, and Pharmacy support, with an in-house Respiratory Therapist
  • Life in Prescott: mild four-season climate, mountain trails, and a historic downtown, under two hours from Phoenix

What You Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • 2+ years of ER experience
  • Active Arizona or compact RN license
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • EMR proficiency
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

What You'll Do

  • Set priorities of care based on patient needs and patient flow
  • Triage every patient accurately and assign triage categories
  • Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for patients of all ages
  • Communicate with ED physicians on changes in status, symptoms, and diagnostic results
  • Respond quickly to changes in condition or response to treatment
  • Monitor hemodynamic status and identify dysrhythmias through cardiac monitoring
  • Assess and manage pain, and educate patients and families
  • Perform and interpret point-of-care testing and act on results
  • Administer medications correctly based on patient age and condition
  • Maintain accurate, ongoing nursing documentation
  • Involve patients and families in the plan of care
  • Keep the department safe, stocked, and running efficiently

Benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance. 401(k) with match. PTO. Schedule: 12-hour days, weekend and holiday rotation Pay: starts at $42.93
