About the job
Performs all aspects of transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography on all patient populations, as appropriate.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Assists physicians with cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/IABP insertion and diagnostic and interventional peripheral vascular procedures in the Cardiac Cath. Lab.
- Performs post procedure care/groin management including arterial and venous sheath removal.
- Operates, troubleshoots, maintains and performs quality control on radiologic equipment.
- Maintains supply inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
- Current AART credential of Radiology
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) required.
- One year of Interventional radiology/cath lab experience required.
- Recent hospital experience as a radiology technologist.
