Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy PRN

Inova Mount Vernon is looking for PRN (as needed) Nurse for the GE Lab.  We are looking for someone that is available at least once a week.  You are required to take two weekend and two weekday call shifts in a six-week schedule.

Our GI team works across two endoscopy units and cares for our ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) patients three days a week (T, Th, F), taking them through pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure recovery. As a PRN nurse, you will rotate through all these areas.

Mount Vernon is a community hospital with 8 OR suites that serves the population in robotics, general, orthopedics, spine, plastics, ENT, urology, and gynecology. The OR functions 24/7 with the support of call team on off-shifts and holidays. It is a fast-paced environment that focuses on strong teamwork and patient safety.

RN Endoscopy Qualifications

• One year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an OR fellowship. If PACU Nurse, one year of critical care or PACU RN experience is required.
• Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• ACLS and PALS through AHA required before completion of orientation

RN Endoscopy Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of recent Endoscopy Nurse experience to include Pre, Post and Intra Procedure experience
