The Manufacturing Training Manager supports all production operations by partnering with internal subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop practical, interactive training programs that deliver high ROI. This role conducts new hire orientation, quality training, and foundational skills training for inexperienced employees, while also driving cross training initiatives for the existing workforce. The position rotates across shifts based on business needs to ensure consistent training coverage.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Develop and deliver training programs, materials, and learning solutions that support production operations, quality requirements, and business objectives.
- Partner with subject matter experts and operational leaders to identify training needs, develop curricula, and implement effective learning strategies.
- Support training governance, audit readiness, and compliance by maintaining standardized training processes and documentation.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, reporting, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and support cross-training, onboarding, foundational skills development, and train-the-trainer programs across manufacturing operations.
- Generate and maintain detailed training metrics, project updates, and progress reports to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives to strengthen workforce capability, quality performance, and operational excellence.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree.

5 or more years of manufacturing experience.

3 or more years of training, learning and development, workforce development experience, and/or experience supporting:
-
Production operations
-
Lean manufacturing
-
Continuous improvement initiatives
-
Safety and compliance programs
-
Technical skills development.
-
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production processes.
-
Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training delivery techniques.
-
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and training management software.

Knowledge of safety regulations, quality management systems, and regulatory training requirements.
-
Ability to develop competency frameworks, skills matrices, and employee certification programs.
-
Strong project management, organizational, and change management skills.
-
Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
- Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Professional certifications such as CPTD, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, Lean Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or PMP.
- Experience leading multi-site manufacturing training programs.
- Experience implementing workforce development strategies that improve operational performance and employee engagement.
