Job Description

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Marketplace Intelligence team as an intern for the summer. The position requires the person to:

• Research business questions using internal and external sources.
• Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative information to identify trends, themes, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with primary research, which may include developing surveys or gathering feedback from agents and other stakeholders.
• Evaluate market, consumer, agency, and competitor information to develop evidence-based insights.
• Organize and synthesize research into clear findings and potential implications.
• Develop written and visual materials that communicate research findings effectively.
• Present research and recommendations to members of the Marketplace Intelligence team and other business partners.
• Collaborate with team members while also independently managing assigned research responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in marketing research, marketing, business, analytics, economics, statistics, communications, psychology, or a related field
• Student should be currently enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college
• Interest in pursuing a career in marketing research, market intelligence, consumer insights, analytics, or a related field
• Strong curiosity and willingness to investigate unfamiliar topics
• Above-average communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to resolve complex issues
• Organize and interpret data
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Detail-oriented

Pay Rate

Rate of pay starts at $18.00 per hour.
